Jennifer Rodriguez is from the Tule River Yokuts Tribe in Central California. She is a graduate student in the Master of Social Work program at San Diego State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science in 2021.
She serves as the Chair for the Indigenous Social Workers Alliance for the 2022-2023 academic year as well as sitting Vice Chair for the Native American Student Alliance. She first transferred to SDSU in the Fall of 2019, where she became a mentee in the Elymash Yuuchaap (EY) Indigenous Scholars & Leaders Program.
The following year she was honored to become a Mentor, and now as a part of her post-graduate education, she is serving as a Graduate Assistant for the EY Program. Some of her interests and hobbies include going to baseball games, traveling, and anything to do with being outside.
