Occupational Therapist

Kristin Balboa grew up in Florida where she attended Florida State University, receiving her
Bachelors of Science Degree in Family and Child Sciences with a minor in Elementary
Education, and certification in Interdepartmental Developmental Disabilities. Kristin has always
loved the visual and performing arts as she grew up dancing since the age of seven. Her love for
the arts and science in combination of wanting to work with children and families led her to
begin her journey as an occupational therapist. She went on to move to San Diego, CA to pursue

her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, CA.
Kristin completed her pediatric affiliation at Shriners Medical Center for Children, a renowned
childrens hospital nationwide. During her time there, she gained clinical experiences working in
the pediatric outpatient setting. Her expertise include, but are not limited to, the evaluation and
treatment of children and adolescence with musculoskeletal impairments, neuromuscular
disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and sensory processing disorder.
