Olivia Thomas is from the Lummi Nation, which is located in Washington State. She is currently in her first year of the Master of Social Work program. She received her Bachelor’s degree in American Indian Studies from SDSU, and is interested in possibly pursuing her Doctorate in American Indian Studies after completing her Masters program, along with working directly with a Tribe on a reservation. She is the Treasurer of the Indigenous Social Workers Alliance, and also a member of the Native American Student Alliance.
Her hobbies include video games and streaming, hanging out with friends and family, going to the beach and learning new things. She has been a part of the Elymash Yuuchaap (EY) Indigenous Scholars & Leaders program since her freshman year of undergrad at SDSU in various capacities, and she is very excited to return as a Graduate Assistant for the Native Resource Center.
